My ceramic pumpkin I painted last year at Color Me Mine
Reading Nothing! I am not reading a thing. I am, sadly, not going to achieve my goal of reading 52 books in 2012. But, there’s always next year. There’s a reason I’m not reading anything though… and it’s because I’m –
Knitting like crazy!! My custom knitting orders have really exploded in popularity, which is great, but it doesn’t leave time for much else. Including personal knitting projects. I try to squeeze some personal time in in the evenings, but usually what happens is I veg out on the couch and don’t get a thing done. Oh well. I’m loving knitting up all of these special orders, though, for special people. I’ve made 15 pumpkin hats, working on 10 orders for reindeer hats, several wool soakers and a couple photography props. I also just took an order for baby mittens and another for a scarf.
Watching Catching up on this past Friday’s episode of Grimm. If you haven’t checked this show out, you totally should! I really enjoy it – the concept is fascinating and the effects are pretty good for a television show.
Listening to A new mix CD Alex made me of – watch out, here comes some cheesiness – songs that reminded him of me. It’s the sweetest mix he’s ever given me to date. And it’s also really cool listening to the lyrics and just thinking about my husband and our relationship.
Thinking about This past weekend. It was really busy and we saw a lot of family. In one instance, it was unfortunate circumstances that we were all getting together. And in another instance, it was better circumstances…just a nice family lunch and, later, a family dinner. It’s never easy when you lose a loved one and, frankly, I’m still wrapping my brain around it. It always seems like when someone’s gone is when you start having all of these questions you’d like to ask them. Why is that?
Loving our family pictures we got taken on Saturday (see, I told you it was busy over the weekend!). They turned out amazing! Ezra also got his 6 month pictures done earlier last week and they’re easily his best set yet. He is such a ham for the camera. I can’t wait to get a few of these printed and up around the house. I think I’m also going to do a photo collage for our Christmas card this year and one or two of these most recent pictures will definitely be on there.
Looking forward to Thanksgiving! It will be great to be with family and share a meal – Ezra’s first big meal, to be exact. My boy loves food. So Thanksgiving is going to be a real treat. There will be so many exciting flavors for him to try, he’s just going to be kicking his little legs in excitement. I can’t wait!
Making me happy getting Christmas lists together to go shopping. And planning our Christmas baking. And crafting. I don’t know what it is – maybe just the fact that Ezra’s here now – but I am excited for Christmas a lot earlier in the year than normal. Usually, it isn’t even on my radar until the week after Thanksgiving. Not this year though!
