In case you missed the update about this pregnancy being considered high risk, you can read it here – What I haven’t said about my pregnancy. I’m going back to where I left off and doing bump progress shots, with more information about what we’ve learned along the way about our baby girl and her medical issue. All of these leading up to 33 weeks are written in past tense, just from what I remember was going on. I want a record for myself, for my little girl and to help anyone else who may find themselves in a similar situation.
No bump pic this week, so enjoy this photo of me and my boy instead 🙂
January 30th – February 5th
How big is baby? Baby is as big as a cauliflower, and is 13.6-14.8″ long 1.5-2.5 lbs approximately. Quite a leap from last week!
How I’m feeling? Pretty good. We’d only really had a complete picture for a couple weeks, but overall Alex and I both were feeling okay. There were times, though, when I just felt plain tired – tired of talking and thinking about duodenal atresia. We visited my grandma for her birthday and that was a really nice change of pace. Plus, we had fried chicken for dinner and you can’t beat that.
Any cravings or weird dreams? No specific cravings, but that fried chicken sure did hit the spot!
Any other details? I think it was around this time we started more seriously thinking about Ezra’s big boy room, and making plans. This was a much-needed distraction for me. I also started thinking about the play room and what I wanted to do in there. We asked Ezra a lot of questions about what he wanted for his room and, for the most part, I’ve stuck with those things. I can’t wait to share the finished room here on the blog!
