Clearly, I was drastically under budget this week for our grocery spending!
I only used 4 coupons (one of them was a B1G1) and the rest of the savings came from Kroger Plus. We saved $11.35 this week.
I’m not really counting this week as a major victory over grocery spending, though. Looking at the meal plan… three of the seven nights there’s nothing to make at home – it’s leftovers or we’re going out. I guess I just don’t want to get myself too excited because next week will probably look totally different but who knows.
Breakfast and lunch are the same as usual for us, though I have gone out twice this week. I can’t believe Alex hasn’t grown tired of the burgers and breakfast burritos! It’s a miracle!
Also, since I’m tracking my coffeehouse spending, you’ll remember from last week that I only had $10.98 of my $15.00 budget to spend from Tuesday, the 24th until the 31st. I am so happy to report that I only spent $12.23 total! This was four total drinks, two from Starbucks and two from Reality Tuesday. This week I have already spent $4.02 again so let’s see if I can cut out at least one drink. It’s seriously an addiction, people.
So that’s that! I’m planning on writing a review of the recipes I tried in January because I didn’t actually get to all of them and most of them I changed a lot.

Way to go on BOTH budgets! Looks like it’s been a good week all around. Even if you’re not cooking at home as much.
Thanks! Yeah it has been a good savings week which is always a positive 🙂
